Seoul Bakery is a Korean café near Tottenham Court Road that’s great for a cheap lunch or quick snack.
The seating is communal and payment is cash only. The walls are covered in doodles and attempts at anime, and the kitchen at the back of the small space knocks out hearty comfort food catering to a mostly young and Asian crowd, with the entire menu falling below £8.
For £5 you can nab a portion of crispy pork dumplings. Soaked in soy sauce and spring onions they’re delicious.
The beef bibimbap served in canteen-like tableware is quick and simple. It’s a no-fuss dish which tasted delicious smothered in sweet chilli sauce. Crack the egg and the yolk will ooze over the fresh veg.
Costing approximately £20 for lunch for two this could be one of the cheapest places to eat out in Central London.
