In January, the company I work for are taking us away on a “2012 Winter Teambuilding and Strategy Event”. We are being treated to a long weekend in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in Bavaria, Germany, flying out on the Thursday and returning on the Sunday.
There will be around 150 staff attending, thus due to the size of our group we are split between 2 hotels which are 600m apart: Best Western Hotel Obermühle & Atlas Posthotel. Dinner on Friday and Saturday evening will be at the Hotel Obermuhle for everyone.
The last time I went skiing was in South Korea in 2004, so I’m certainly out of practice!
We spent a few days at the Seoul Resort as it was the closest ski resort to where we where staying. It is a year-round resort town with a ski camp, survival game, college OT/MT, etc.
Before I hit the slopes of Bavaria I need some new ski-wear. My late Grandmother has a beautiful red Nevica* ski suit which unfortunately is a little too big for me to wear comfortable so I’m on the hunt for a similar outfit. *Nevica Ltd. was founded by Paul Goldstein in 1978. After several years spent distributing European skiwear brands in the UK he decided, in 1980, to launch his own ski clothing line under the name NEVICA.
